5-MIN READ

Morning, agents. Home search is starting to happen inside chatbots, and Zillow just made sure it's there first. If a buyer asks Claude about a house in your town, Zillow now decides which agent gets the "connect me" tap.

I don't think that's a reason to panic. I do think it's a reason to spend 10 minutes today seeing what these assistants say about you. That's today's rep.

In today's Digest:

  • Zillow puts home search inside Claude
  • Your CRM now takes orders from your AI assistant
  • Today's rep: Find out if AI recommends you in your town
Lead story

Zillow puts home search inside Claude

The Digest: Zillow launched a Claude connector that lets people search listings, check home values and estimate affordability inside a chat, then request a tour or connect with an agent without leaving it.

The details:

  • It joins Zillow's existing ChatGPT app and its Gemini rentals experience, so Zillow now sits inside all three major assistants.
  • Tours, agent connections and financing are all offered in the same conversation.

Why it matters for your business: If the search starts in a chatbot and you're not visible there, Zillow decides who gets the lead.

Reality check: Chatbot answers about value and affordability are estimates. If a client brings you one, treat it like a Zestimate: a starting point, not a number to price from.
Try it: In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, and add Zillow. Search your farm area and note how listings, broker credit and the "connect with an agent" step show up.

Find out if AI recommends you in your town

Buyers and sellers are asking chatbots who the best agent in town is. Most agents have never checked what the answer is.

  1. Open ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini in three tabs.
  2. Paste the prompt below into each one, with your town and niche filled in.
  3. Write down whether you show up, who does, and what sources each one cites.
  4. Fix the easiest gap first. It's usually your Google reviews or the About page on your website.
Who are the best real estate agents in [your town] for [buyers / sellers / your niche]? Tell me why you picked them and where your information comes from.

Did it? Bring what you made to Thursday's call. New here? The 7-day Ramp starts from zero.

Your CRM now takes orders from your AI assistant

The Digest: Inside Real Estate launched a BoldTrail connector so ChatGPT or Claude can review priorities, log notes, schedule follow-ups and flag leads nobody has called. Real Geeks launched AI Connect for editing your website by chat.

The details:

  • eXp announced the same "bring your own AI" approach at eXpcon.
  • An Inman and Lofty survey found 62% of agents pay for a general AI assistant. Only 14% pay for a real estate specific tool.

Why it matters for your business: "Who haven't I called in 30 days?" becomes a ten-second question, and the assistant you learn now follows you to your next brokerage.

Reality check: Connecting your CRM gives the assistant your clients' contact details and notes. Check your brokerage's rules first, and never connect a CRM you share with other agents without asking.
Try it: Pick one assistant as your daily driver. If you're on BoldTrail, connect it and ask which leads haven't heard from you in 30 days.
